1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Hellbound Hearts ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Age Requirements

You must be at least 18 years old to use Hellbound Hearts Social. By using our platform, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. The Social matching features are strictly limited to users 18 and older.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate.

4. Content Guidelines

While we celebrate horror culture, users must not post content that:

• Contains real violence, gore, or harm to individuals
• Violates copyright or intellectual property rights
• Contains hate speech, harassment, or discrimination
• Includes illegal content or activities
• Contains sexually explicit material involving minors
• Promotes self-harm or dangerous behaviors
• Includes spam or malicious links

We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Content that violates these guidelines is removed, and the responsible accounts may be suspended or permanently banned. You can report objectionable content or block abusive users at any time from within the app, and our team acts on reports within 24 hours.

5. Horror Content Disclaimer

Hellbound Hearts is a platform dedicated to horror entertainment. Content may include:

• Fictional horror scenarios and discussions
• Horror movie/book reviews and recommendations
• Special effects makeup and cosplay
• Discussions of horror themes and genres

Users sensitive to horror content should exercise caution. All horror content must be clearly fictional or entertainment-related.

6. Social

The Social features on Hellbound Hearts are provided for entertainment and connection purposes. We do not:

• Conduct background checks on users
• Verify the accuracy of user profiles
• Guarantee matches or relationships
• Take responsibility for user interactions outside the platform

Users should exercise caution when meeting people from online platforms and should always meet in public places for first meetings.

7. Premium Features

Certain features may require a paid subscription. Subscription terms include:

• Billing occurs at the beginning of each subscription period
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled
• Refunds are provided according to our refund policy
• Prices may change with reasonable notice

8. User Conduct

Users agree not to:

• Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
• Use the platform for commercial solicitation without permission
• Attempt to access other users' accounts
• Use automated systems or bots without authorization
• Interfere with the platform's operation
• Circumvent any security features

9. Intellectual Property

Content you post remains yours, but you grant Hellbound Hearts a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content on the platform. You represent that you have the right to post any content you share.

10. Privacy

Your use of our platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or for any other reason at our discretion. Users may delete their accounts at any time through account settings.

12. Disclaimers

The platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for:

• User-generated content
• Interactions between users
• Technical issues or service interruptions
• Loss of data
• Indirect or consequential damages

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Hellbound Hearts harmless from any claims arising from your use of the platform, your content, or your violation of these terms.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify users of significant changes via email or platform notification.

15. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.

16. User-Created Events and Community Activities

a) Independent Organization

All events created by users on Hellbound Hearts are independently organized by individual users or third parties. Hellbound Hearts is NOT the organizer, host, sponsor, or promoter of any user-created events.

b) Platform Role

Hellbound Hearts provides only a LISTING SERVICE for users to advertise and discover community events. We do not:

• Verify the accuracy of event information
• Conduct background checks on event organizers
• Inspect venues or event locations
• Control event content, activities, or attendees
• Handle ticket sales or payments (unless explicitly processed through our platform)
• Guarantee event safety, quality, or occurrence

c) Organizer Responsibility

Event organizers are solely responsible for:

• Obtaining all necessary permits, licenses, and insurance
• Ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations
• Venue safety and accessibility
• Accurate event information and descriptions
• Event cancellations, refunds, and attendee communications
• Any injuries, damages, or disputes arising from the event

d) Attendee Acknowledgment

By attending any user-created event, you acknowledge and agree that:

• You attend at your own risk
• Hellbound Hearts has no liability for event-related issues
• You release Hellbound Hearts from all claims related to the event
• You should research organizers and venues independently
• You should take appropriate safety precautions

e) Event Guidelines

User-created events must not:

• Violate any laws or regulations
• Promote dangerous or illegal activities
• Involve minors without proper parental supervision and consent
• Misrepresent event details, pricing, or organizer identity
• Violate the intellectual property rights of others

f) Right to Remove

Hellbound Hearts reserves the right to remove any event listing that violates these terms, appears fraudulent, or may pose safety concerns, without notice or liability.

g) No Endorsement

Listing an event on our platform does not constitute endorsement, approval, or affiliation with the event or organizer.

h) Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HELLBOUND HEARTS, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES ARISING FROM USER-CREATED EVENTS, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO: PERSONAL INJURY, PROPERTY DAMAGE, FINANCIAL LOSS, EMOTIONAL DISTRESS, OR ANY OTHER HARM RESULTING FROM ATTENDANCE OR PARTICIPATION IN ANY USER-CREATED EVENT.

17. Child Safety & Prohibition of Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE)

Hellbound Hearts is an adults-only platform for users 18 and older. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy toward child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM).

You may not use Hellbound Hearts to create, upload, post, share, solicit, or distribute any content — or engage in any conduct — that sexually exploits, abuses, or endangers a minor (any person under 18). This includes, without limitation:

• Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form, real, animated, or computer-generated;
• Sexualization of a minor — any depiction or portrayal of a minor in a sexual manner;
• Grooming — communicating with a minor to facilitate sexual contact or the exchange of sexual imagery, online or offline;
• Sextortion — threatening or blackmailing anyone using real or claimed access to intimate imagery;
• Child trafficking — advertising, soliciting, or facilitating the commercial sexual exploitation of a minor;
• Any other content or behavior that exploits or endangers children.

Reporting: If you encounter content or behavior that may exploit or endanger a child, report it immediately using the in-app Report function or by emailing childsafety@hellboundhearts.com.

Our response: Upon obtaining knowledge of CSAE or CSAM, we act promptly in accordance with these standards and applicable law — removing the content, terminating the responsible account(s), preserving relevant information, and reporting confirmed CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and/or the appropriate authorities.
