Watch Party Theater Policy

1. About theater rooms

Hellbound Hearts theater rooms let hosts gather friends to watch horror content together in real time. The platform supports two source types:

• Curated public-domain titles streamed directly from Internet Archive. These films are in the public domain and free to share.
• Screen share where a host shares their own device screen with the room. Hosts are solely responsible for what they share.

Hellbound Hearts does not store, transcode, redistribute, or otherwise host the video bytes for screen-shared content. Streams travel peer-to-peer via WebRTC between participants' browsers.

2. Host and participant conduct

By creating or joining a theater room you agree:

• You will not share content you do not have the legal right to display to others (including, without limitation, copyrighted films, series, sporting events, or live broadcasts unless you have a license to redistribute).
• You will not share content that depicts illegal acts, violates our Terms of Service, or our Privacy Policy.
• You will not impersonate other users, harass other participants, or attempt to circumvent host controls (lock, kick, end session).
• Voice chat and reactions are subject to the same conduct rules as posts and comments on the rest of the platform.

3. Host controls and moderation

The current host of a room can:

• Lock the room to prevent new walk-up viewers from joining (RSVPed members can still enter).
• Remove (kick) a participant for the duration of that specific room. Kicked participants cannot rejoin until the session ends.
• Transfer host control to another participant; the original room creator can reclaim control at any time.
• End the session for everyone in the room.

Hellbound Hearts admins may review host actions and reverse kicks that appear abusive. Admins may also force-end a room that is in violation of this policy.

4. Reporting a room

Every theater room includes a Report button in the top bar. Use it if you believe a room is sharing infringing or otherwise prohibited content. Reports go to the Hellbound Hearts moderation team and are reviewed in the order received.

For copyright-specific concerns, email support@hellboundhearts.com with the room URL, the time you observed the content, and what you believe was infringed. See Section 6 for details.

5. Privacy in theater rooms

• Your username, avatar, voice (when you join the voice mesh), and any text chat you send are visible to all participants in the room.
• Hellbound Hearts logs room participation (join time, leave time, kick events) for moderation purposes. Logs are retained per our Privacy Policy.
• Voice and screen-share streams travel browser-to-browser via WebRTC. Hellbound Hearts does not record or store these streams.

6. Reporting copyright concerns

Hellbound Hearts respects the rights of copyright holders. If you believe content shared in a theater room infringes your copyright, email support@hellboundhearts.com with the following:

• The room URL (e.g., https://hellboundhearts.com/watch-parties/...)
• The approximate time you observed the content
• The username of the room host
• A description of the work you believe was infringed
• Your contact information

We will review and remove infringing content promptly. Hellbound Hearts will terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of theater rooms after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
