Social Encounters is primarily for finding activity partners, not romantic relationships. While some users may develop friendships or relationships, the feature is designed around shared horror activities and events.

No. Social Encounters is completely optional and disabled by default. You can use all other features of Hellbound Hearts without ever enabling it.

Yes! You can filter by activity type (conventions, screenings, haunts), location, availability, and specific interests. You can also browse by upcoming events to find partners attending the same convention or screening.
What if someone makes me uncomfortable?
Immediately block them (profile menu → Block) and report the behavior (profile menu → Report). We take all reports seriously and investigate within 24 hours. Serious violations result in permanent account bans.
