Send private messages to friends and connections. Have one-on-one conversations about horror movies, events, or anything else.
Starting a Conversation
How to Send a Message
- 1.Go to Messages page or visit a user's profile
- 2.Click "Send Message" or "New Message" button
- 3.Select the recipient (you can only message friends/connections)
- 4.Type your message in the text box
- 5.Press Enter or click Send
Managing Conversations
Viewing Messages
All your conversations appear in the Messages inbox. Click any conversation to open it and see the full message history.
Deleting Conversations
Click the trash icon to delete a conversation. This removes it from your inbox but doesn't delete it for the other person.
Message Notifications
You'll receive notifications for new messages. Adjust notification settings in Settings → Notifications → Messages.
Blocking in Messages
If someone is bothering you, block them from their profile. Blocked users can't send you messages.
Privacy & Safety
⚠️ Safety First
Never share personal information (address, phone number, financial info) in messages. Report harassment or inappropriate messages to our moderation team.
Who Can Message You?
By default, only your friends/connections can send you messages. Change this in Settings → Privacy → Messages:
- • Friends Only: Only people you're connected with (default)
- • No One: Disable all direct messages
