Casual gatherings at cafes, bars, or homes. Watch parties, book clubs, game nights, and social hangouts.

Haunted houses, escape rooms, ghost tours, and seasonal Halloween attractions. Great group experiences!

Online watch parties, virtual conventions, live streams, and remote discussions. Join from anywhere!

Finding Events Near You
How to Search

Go to Events Page
Navigate to Events from the main menu.

Set Your Location
Enter your city or zip code in the location search box. This shows events within your chosen radius.

Choose Distance Radius
Select how far you're willing to travel:
- • 5 miles (local events)
- • 10 miles (nearby events)
- • 25 miles (regional events)
- • 50 miles (day trip events)
- • 100 miles (weekend trip events)
- • Anywhere (virtual events included)

Filter by Event Type
Use the dropdown to filter by convention, screening, meetup, virtual, or all types.

Filter by Date Range
Choose "This Week", "This Month", or set a custom date range to find events that fit your schedule.
💡 Pro Tip: Save Your Location
Set your location in your profile settings to automatically see relevant events without re-entering it every time!
RSVPing to Events
How to RSVP
- 1.Click on any event to view its detail page
- 2.Review event details (date, time, location, description)
- 3.Click "Going" (confirmed attendance) or "Maybe" (interested but not sure)
- 4.You'll receive email reminders 1 day before the event
RSVP Options
✓ Going
You're confirmed to attend. You'll get reminders and updates.
? Maybe
You're interested but not sure. Still get updates, but marked as tentative.
Not Going
You're not attending. The event is hidden from your calendar.
Managing Your RSVPs
Changing Your RSVP
You can change or cancel your RSVP anytime. Go to the event page and click a different RSVP button. Your status updates instantly.
Email Notifications
You'll receive email reminders:
- • 1 day before the event (for "Going" RSVPs)
- • If the event is updated or cancelled
- • When someone you follow RSVPs to the same event
You can disable event notifications in Settings → Notifications.
Your Events Calendar
All your RSVPs appear in your profile's Events tab. You can view them by date, filter by RSVP status, or export to your calendar app.
Seeing Who's Attending
Who's Going Section
On any event page, scroll to the "Who's Going" section to see all confirmed attendees. This helps you:
- •Find friends or people you know attending
- •Discover new connections with similar interests
- •Plan to meet up at the event
- •See if the event is popular or intimate
Privacy Settings
Your attendance is visible to all users by default. If you have a private profile, you'll show as "Private User" in the attendee list. You can change visibility in Settings → Privacy → Event Attendance Visibility.
💡 Connect Before the Event
Click on attendee profiles to learn about them. Send a friendly message to plan meetups or coordinate carpools. Most horror fans are friendly!
Creating Your Own Event
Step-by-Step Guide

Go to Events Page
Navigate to Events and click "Create Event" in the top-right.

Enter Event Details
Fill out the event form:
- • Title: Clear, descriptive name
- • Description: What attendees can expect
- • Date & Time: When it starts (and ends, if applicable)
- • Event Type: Convention, screening, meetup, etc.

Add Location
Choose location type:
- • Physical: Enter full address (venue, street, city, state, zip)
- • Virtual: Provide Zoom link, Discord server, or streaming URL
- • Hybrid: Offer both physical and virtual attendance options

Set Capacity Limit (Optional)
If your event has limited space, set a max attendee count. RSVPs close when the limit is reached.

Upload Cover Image (Optional)
Add an eye-catching image (poster, screenshot, etc.) to make your event stand out. Recommended size: 1200x630px.

Submit for Review
Click "Create Event". Your event will be reviewed by our team within 24 hours to prevent spam.
⚠️ Manual Review Process
All events are manually reviewed before appearing publicly to prevent spam, scams, and inappropriate content. Legitimate events are typically approved within 12-24 hours. You'll receive an email notification when your event is approved or if we need more information.
Event Best Practices
Good Event Listings:
- ✓ Clear, descriptive title
- ✓ Detailed description of what to expect
- ✓ Accurate date, time, and location
- ✓ Relevant cover image
- ✓ Contact info or questions channel
Avoid These:
- ✗ Vague or clickbait titles
- ✗ Missing date/time/location details
- ✗ Promotional spam
- ✗ Duplicate event listings
- ✗ Offensive or inappropriate content
