Managing Notification Preferences
Control which notifications you receive. Go to Settings → Notifications.
In-App Notifications
Notifications that appear in your notification bell when you're logged in. You can enable/disable each category individually.
Email Notifications
Receive notifications via email. Choose which categories trigger emails. You can set frequency to Instant, Daily Digest, or Weekly Digest.
Push Notifications
Real-time notifications sent to your device (if enabled in your browser). Great for messages and event reminders.
Notification Settings
Pause All Notifications
Taking a break? Enable "Do Not Disturb" mode to pause all non-critical notifications temporarily.
Mute Specific Users
Don't want notifications from someone? Mute them without unfriending. You won't see notifications for their activity.
Mute Threads
Stop receiving notifications for specific forum threads or posts you're no longer interested in following.
FAQ
Why am I not receiving email notifications?
Check your spam folder first. Then verify your email is confirmed (Settings → Account → Email Verification). Finally, check that email notifications are enabled in Settings → Notifications.
Can I turn off all notifications?
Yes! Go to Settings → Notifications and disable all categories, or enable "Do Not Disturb" mode. Note: Critical account security notifications will still be sent.
How do I clear my notification history?
Click the notification bell, then click "Mark All as Read" at the top. To delete old notifications, click "Clear All" at the bottom.
