Profile & Settings
Customize your profile, manage privacy settings, and configure your account to match your preferences.
Editing Your Profile
Go to your profile and click "Edit Profile" to customize:
Profile Picture & Cover Photo
Upload a profile picture (avatar) and cover photo. Supported formats: JPG, PNG, GIF up to 5MB.
Bio & About
Write a bio to tell others about your horror interests. Keep it friendly and appropriate!
Horror Preferences
Set favorite genres, scare tolerance, and preferred media types. This helps with recommendations and matching.
Social Links
Add links to your social media, Letterboxd, Goodreads, or personal website.
Privacy Settings
Control who can see your content and interact with you. Go to Settings → Privacy.
Profile Visibility
- • Public: Everyone can see your profile
- • Members Only: Only logged-in users
- • Private: Only you can see your profile
Activity & Posts
Choose who can see your posts, ratings, reviews, and activity feed.
Location Privacy
Control how much of your location is visible (Exact, City, State, or Hidden).
Blocked Users
View and manage users you've blocked. Unblock users if you change your mind.
Notification Preferences
Customize which notifications you receive via email and in-app. Go to Settings → Notifications.
Social
Friend requests, connections, messages, mentions
Content
Post replies, likes, ratings, comments
Events
RSVP reminders, event updates, watch parties
Platform
New features, announcements, newsletters
Account Security
Changing Your Password
Go to Settings → Account → Change Password. You'll need your current password to set a new one.
Email Verification
Verify your email to secure your account and enable password resets. Check your inbox for the verification email.
Active Sessions
View devices where you're logged in and log out remotely if needed.
Account Deletion
⚠️ Permanent Action
Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone. All your data, posts, ratings, and connections will be permanently deleted.
How to Delete Your Account
- 1.Go to Settings → Account
- 2.Scroll to "Danger Zone"
- 3.Click "Delete Account"
- 4.Type your username to confirm
- 5.Your account will be deleted within 30 days (you can cancel during this period)
